Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: Rentals
Do you have other items that are not shown on your website?

Because of the large amount of items we have for rent, not all of them are in the catalog, especially all the accessories, such as the bed linens, towels, and kitchen accessories.  We purchase new items on a regular basis, some of which are periodically uploaded.  In addition, with advance notice we can source an even larger range of furnishings directly from our suppliers.

What is the minimum rental period?

We have a minimum rental period of one month and a weekly billing thereafter.

Do you deliver?

We source out delivery companies and will supply you with that information upon request.

Do you install the rental furniture? Or do we do it ourselves?

You do it yourselves.  The movers we recommend will place the furniture where you like, however, if you would like the professional expertise of Home Ingredients stagers we will be happy to help you out.  Look under Home Staging for fees.

What if I have to terminate my contract before the agreed minimum rental period?

If you terminate your contract prior to the agreed minimum rental period being completed you still are obligated to pay the balance.

Are the rental items insured?

The rental items are not insured once they leave Home Ingredients.  You are responsible for insuring the goods.

Can I rent only a few items?

Yes, you can rent one item or an entire package.

How and when do I pay?

Once you reserve the items and the order is delivered to you, you then must pay.  You can pay by credit cards or cheque.

FAQ; Home Staging

What is Home Staging?

Home Staging is preparing your home for sale so that it will appeal to the broadest possible market and sell in the fastest possible time, at the highest possible price.

Why would I spend money on staging my home when I am about to sell it?

By carefully spending your money, you are able to make the property more marketable, and more desirable to your intended market. You may well increase the likely asking price and increase the speed and ease of sale. A staged home sells 30%-50% faster. When entering a home first impressions are important; most buyers make up their mind in less than one minute. A well maintained home gives the appearance of being cared for, as well as being move in ready.

The real estate market is hot, why bother with home staging?

When a market is hot, homes sell quickly and often at above asking price. Imagine how many offers you may get if your home is staged. You are trying to sell a life style, and the more buyers, the higher the bidding, the higher the price for you.
